Hello and welcome!

A few things about me.

I’m an old guy (how old I won’t say). I’m married, have two grown kids and two great grandkids and two grandpups.

I have been into this crazy long distance Radio hobby since the mid 1960s. I swerved into FM DXing just before 1970 and have been with it ever since.

Back around 1970 I found out about, and joined a club called the Worldwide TV-FM DX Association and have been a member ever since. Around 1997-1998 I was made a member of the club’s Board of Directors and in 2001 I also began publishing their bulletin called the VHF-UHF Digest. Both tasks I continued with until August 2026 when I gave up both of them. I felt that 26 years of publishing and guiding the club along the way was long enough and that the job should go to someone younger and more enthusiastic about the job than I am.

Besides DXing, my other interests are linux computing (software and hardware), N scale model trains and going to the beach in the summer.  Currently my biggest project is trying to get the the population of my town in Cities Skylines to break past 115,000. And antique stores, love them antiques!
